In the heart of the Chianti Classico area, between Gaiole and Radda in Chianti, overlooking rolling hills and vineyards, a 16th century stone farmhouse which offers silence, peace, a garden, forest and an incomparable view.
It stands atop a hill that offers a magnificent view of the valley and the surrounding hills, including several Chianti castles. It is surrounded by oak woods and is accessed via a gravel road of about 1 km.
The farmhouse is set over 2 floors and covers about 407 sqm. It offers spacious rooms with beamed ceilings and terracotta floors.
It retains several features and architectural details like the bastion that suggest the origins were a watchtower dating from around 1100 when Tuscany was dotted with many tax-collecting stations controlling the increasing commercial activities across the region.
